2 Corinthians 4:2

but we have renounced the things [hidden because] of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

(NASB; OPB)

“Hidden” because is in the NASB and most English translations, but it’s not in the Greek, so I’ve bracketted it out.

Strong stuff. As well as the rest, I like the idea of treating God’s word with care. The idea amplifies and spreads when we consider that in John “the word” is Jesus, and in Paul each of us is a letter from Christ. Our attitude to the word infects our attitude to life.
