Luke 20:38

God is not God of the dead but of the living; in his sight all are alive.

(Revised English Bible; OPB)

That second clause in an addition in Luke (cf. Mark 12:27, Matthew 22:32). I think it’s an important addition. If God exists outside spacetime then all humans are equally alive, and bounded.

Wow, that is powerful scripture. Really, really powerful for me this morning. Thanks.

Thank you, Lorna. I like it in Mark and Matthew too, but I found it difficult to get my head round. The extra clause makes it a bit easier to approach I think.
